Artist Bio  Melanie Hylton

Coming from the Central Coast of California, I was surrounded by artists in the community.  Having a love for all things glass, I was drawn to the art of stained glass and took my first classes in stained glass work over 34 years ago.  While in the central coast, my glass work was second to my full time job and I considered it more of a hobby and primarily made pieces for family and friends.

Since moving to Lake Havasu in 2004, I joined the Art Guild and decided to make stained glass on a more full time basis.  My first hurried “ Art At The Lake” show in Havasu resulted in a first place in the glass category.  My work encompasses everything from small sun catchers to large panels for cabinets and window inserts.
