Maureen Osborne
An Artist from a young age, throughout her life Maureen has had many influential teachers. First being her mother Phyllis who gave her the love of art and expressing oneself building a strong foundation in her craft. Her experiences studying art in the Chicago suburbs, taking classes at the Art Institute of Chicago, and earning a Bachelor of Studio Art with a focus in Art History from California State University at Long Beach all speak to her dedication to her art and her commitment to expanding her knowledge and skills. Maureen’s focus on Art History shows a deep interest in the historical context of art and the evolution of artistic movements. This broader understanding of art enriches her own creative practice.
Maureen's educational background has opened many opportunities for her in the realm of art. Her ability to create art, teach art classes, and bring the stories of great Art Masters to life is a testament to her passion and expertise. Her art classes, both in acrylic and watercolor, provide students of all ages with a chance to explore their creativity and learn new techniques. Maureen has exhibited in several shows in California and Arizona, and many works are in private collections. Her “Make Mine a Double” Sketchbook project traveled with an exhibition around the United States with stops in 8 major cities coast to coast.
