Artist Biography
Ceramics by Linda LMGpottery@hotmail.com
I began my love of clay more than 35 years ago.
Trying the pottery wheel I formed a small bowl, I knew
I had found my artistic medium I still have that small bowl. I attended Ventura Community College, CA from 1987 to 1991. I moved to Lake Havasu City in 1994 and took up my love of clay. I completed five semesters at Mohave Community College, LHC, 1994 to 1996. I was the lab assistant, mixing glazes and firing the kilns. I worked in my own studio for several years. I resumed ceramics classes at MCC the Bullhead City campus in 2003. I began instructing ceramics at the Bullhead City campus in 2004. I began instructing at the LHC campus in 2007. I left MCC in the fall of 2016. I taught at a studio on Acoma Blvd, LHC until 2021. 1 and 3 other potters began the Empty Bowls fund raiser which supports our local community food bank in 2018.
I currently work out of my home studio making functional and decorative pottery.
I enjoy learning new techniques and expanding my knowledge in all areas of my art. Passing this on to others is very satisfying. My husband is very supportive of my work. He lends a hand with lugging clay or repairing wiring on my kiln or just telling me how nice something came out. I also enjoy lapidary, wire wrap jewelry, beading and crochet.

I hope my work brings you enjoyment.
